Ingredients
- 14 ounces light coconut milk
- 8 slices ginger root, 1/4" each
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 2 mangos
- 8 lime wedges

Preparation
Step 1
1. In saucepan, heat coconut milk with ginger until very hot, but not boiling. Take off heat, cover, and let steep 15 minutes.
2. Add sugar, bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Take off heat again, add buttermilk.
3. Pour through a strainer into a bowl. Freeze until nearly frozen, about 2 hours. T
4. hen fluff with a fork. Return to freezer another hour.
5. Peel mango and slice fruit into thin strips. Place in dessert bowls, top with granita, garnish with lime.
