  • 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup water

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients together. Add water as needed so it should clunk off the spoon (like cookies). Stuff into chicken.

If you want to cook the stuffing outside of the bird, put into a well-buttered or -sprayed pan, pour some chicken stock over just to moisten, and cover with tinfoil and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Then, take the tinfoil off and continue cooking uncovered for another 10-15 minutes, until browned nicely.
