  • 1 C Butter
  • 2 C Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 1/2 C Light Corn Syrup (with a little dark for color)
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • 6 to 8 quarts Popped Popcorn

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Melt butter in a 2 quart saucepan. Stir in sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popped corn in a large bowl and mix well. Turn into 2 large baking sheets. Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes. Turn every 15 minutes. Remove from oven, cool and break apart.
