Ingredients

  • Marinade:
  • 1 flank steak, 1 1/2 lbs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry or orange juice
  • 3 Tbsp Chinese oyster juice
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped candied ginger or 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed

Preparation

Step 1

Lay steak in a shallow pan. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over meat. Turn to marinate both sides. Cover and refigerate 6 to 8 hours or overnight.

Drain and reserve marinade. Cook in a frying pan over high heat for 3-5 min each side. Brush with 2 to 3 Tbsp marinade.

To serve, cut into very thin diagonal slices across the grain.
