Ingredients

  • 4 racks baby back pork ribs
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons red-wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Place the ribs in the pot and blanch until tender, about 12-15 minutes. Remove the ribs from the water and refrigerate until cool.

In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Add the ribs, stirring until they are well coated on all sides. Cover and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.

When ready to serve, heat the grill to low. Grill the ribs until done, brushing the marinade as they cook, about 20-30 minutes.

Discard any extra marinade.
