  • 3/4 cup Smooth Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Crisco Shortening
  • 1 1/4 Firmly packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cup All purpose Flour
  • 3/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp Salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 375 F
2. Cream peanut butter, crisco, brown sugar, egg milk and vanilla in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until smooth and creamy, about 1 - 2 minutes
3. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture gradually, beating at low speed until thoroughly blended.
4. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet. Press with lightly floured fork in criss cross pattern.
5. Bake for 7-8 minutes, or until set and just beginning to brown. Cool slightly, then remove to cooling rack.
