Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 oz farfalle (bow-tie) pasta
  • 1 1/2 TBS butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 TBS flour
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/8 tsp prepared mustard (e.g., Dijon)
  • 3 oz Colby cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 oz cooked ham, julienned into strips
  • 1 1/2 TBS grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350F.

2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes or until al dente. Drain.

3. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Saute garlic for 30 seconds. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir until smooth. Pour in milk, a little at a time, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Stir in mustard and Colby cheese. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted. Remove from heat and stir in pasta and ham.

4. Pour into a baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

5. Bake 20-25 minutes, until golden and brown.

Makes 2 servings. Each serving = 13 Weight Watchers points.
