Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp milk
- fine bread crumbs
- garlic powder
- paprika
- butter
- box of fresh mushrooms (small size)
- 1 can consomme
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 2 tbsp sherry (cooking sherry is fine)
- chopped parsley

Step 1
Skin and bone the chicken breasts. Dry them well. Beat the egg and mix with the milk. Dip the chicken pieces into the egg and milk mixture, then roll in the fine bread crumbs to which have been added a bit of garlic powder and paprika. Brown the chicken in the butter. Put into a casserole - it can be refrigerated at this point if it is being made ahead. Slice the mushrooms and add to the chicken. Mix the consomme, mushroom soup, and sherry, and pour over the chicken. Bake in a 300 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
