Preparation

Step 1

Prepare hot roll mix following package directions using hot water, 2 tablespoons of butter and egg. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, and let rest for an additional 5 minutes, as directed on the package.

In a small mixing bowl stir together pine nuts, cheese and parsley. On a floured surface, roll dough into an 18 inch square. Brush dough with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle with pine nut mixture. Roll dough up from the bottom. Moisten and seal seam. Cut crosswise into 12- 1 1/2 inch slices.

Cover the rolls and let rise in a warm place (80 degrees) until doubled in size (approx. 20-30 min).

Uncover, brush tops with slighly beaten egg and bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Brush tops of warm rolls with melted butter, if desired.
