Ingredients

  • Alfredo Sauce:
  • 16 oz penne or bowtie pasta
  • 1 recipe Alfredo sauce (see below)
  • 2-3 chicken breasts, cooked and chopped
  • 6 oz cooked bacon or chopped ham
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2/3 cup (6oz) ow fat cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 TBL butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Prepare pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking prepare Alfredo sauce (see recipe below) When pasta is done, drain and add to sauce. Toss with chopped chicken, bacon and 1 cup mozzarella, season to taste. Transfer mixture to a 9x13 baking dish and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Alfredo Sauce - Place milk, cream cheese, flour, garlic powder and salt in blender and blend until smooth. In sauce pan, melt butter on medium high heat then add milk mixture to pan. Stir 3 or 4 minutes until it comes to a simmer. When thick, remove pan from heat. Add parmesan cheese and cover for 5 minutes.
