Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon fenugreek
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 28 ounces chickpeas, canned
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons lowfat peanut butter

Preparation

Step 1

1. Saute onion and garlic in water. Add spices. Cook 30 seconds.

2. Add chickpeas with half their liquid. Add lemon and tomato paste. Cook 10 mins. Add peanut butter. Cook a few more mins. Season.
