- 1 lb bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 cups heavy cream

Step 1
Put chocolate in large bowl. Bring cream to a simmer in a saucepan. Pour over chocolate, and let stand until chocolate melts.
Beginning in the center and working out, stir melted chocolate into cream mix until combined and smooth.

Refrigerate, stirring every 5 minutes, until frosting starts to hold its shape and is lighter. Use immediately.
Frosting can also be beaten in a mixer to achieve a light fluffy consistency.
