Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 3 tbsp liquid egg
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the egg, milk, cheddar cheese, onion, oats, salt and ground beef together in a bowl using hands. Form into one large loaf, 6 smaller loaves, or into 16 cupcake pan.

In a small bowl, mix topping ingredients together. Bake uncovered at 350º for 45 minutes to 1 hour. The last 10 minutes, put warmed topping mixture over loaves. If using cupcake pan, bake for 35 minutes.

I put loaves in a throw away tin pan and the topping in a little baggie on top. Cover and put in freezer. When ready to use, slow thaw the night before in the refrigerator.
