Soft Bread Pretzels

So much fun! This is a great recipe for kids. I got this recipe when I was in kindergarten, we made them in class. It's great to make them with kids and let them make whatever shapes they want.

Ingredients

  • 1

    package yeast

  • cups warm water

  • 1

    tablespoons salt

  • 1

    tablespoons sugar

  • 4

    cups flour

  • 1

    egg; beaten

  • Coarse salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Measure warm water into large mixing bowl. Sprinkle on yeast and stir until soft. Add salt, sugar and flour. Mix and knead dough. Lay pretzels on greased cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake for 12-15 mins.
