Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 2 cup fully cooked cubed ham
  • 4 cup cubed cooked turkey or chicken
  • 1 cup (4oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/3 cup butter, cubed
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp. each ground mustard and ground nutmeg
  • 1-3/4 cup milk
  • 1-1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Preparation

Step 1

1.In a large nonstick skillet, sauté ham for 4-5 min. or until browned; drain and pat dry.
2.In a greased 2-qt. baking dish, layer the turkey (chicken), cheese and ham; set aside.
3.In a saucepan, sauté the onion in butter until tender. Stir in the flour, mustard and nutmeg until blended.
4.Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 min. or until thickened. Pour over ham.
5.Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over the top.
6.Bake, uncovered, at 350F. for 25-30 min. or until golden brown and bubbly.
