Sweet and Sour Chicken

This is NOT a chinese recipe but a Portuguese version made with brown sugar and vinegar. A favortie from my mothers recipe and childhood. A favorite of EFA Runnin' Blue Devils Girl's Basketball team.

Ingredients
- Add:
- 3 1/2 lbs chicken (I use breast and thighs with skin)
- squeeze fresh lime on chicken, sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper.
- Brown chicken in 1/4 c butter, remove from pan.
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 t salt
- 1 t oregano
- 1 c brown sugar (dark)
- 1/4 c apple cider vinegar

Preparation
Step 1
Brown chicken over medium high heat. Remove from pan. Add other ingredients, (may want to drain some chicken fat from pan first, and then add more butter.) Add other ingredients, then add chicken back to pan. Cook covered 25 min, then uncovered for 20 min.
I serve with buttered new potatoes. Sauce taste wonderful over potatoes!
