Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. cayenne
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1/2 c. cheddar
  • 1/2 c. American cheese, (3 slices)
  • 1/2 c. Monterey Jack cheese
  • 5 slices bread
  • 1 can green chilies, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Fry sausage and drain. Beat eggs, salt, mustard, milk and spices. Break up bread into small pieces and spread over bottom of 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle 1/2 of cheeses over bread, then spread sausage over cheese. Pour liquid mixture over top, then remaining cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake 45 minutes (25 covered/20 uncovered) at 350 degrees.
