Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground round
- 1 cup onions, diced
- 1 cup dried zucchini
- 1/2 cup okra, diced
- 1 cup potatoes, cubed
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- 1 can (15 oz) tomatoes
- 1/4 cup rice or 1/2 cup macaroni elbow noodles
- 1 1/2 quarts water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 5 tsp salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup parmesan, grated

Step 1
1) Brown ground round in large kettle. Add vegetables, water and spices and bring to boil. Sprinkle rice (or noodles) into mixture. Cover and simmer at least one hour. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
* To make more stock, double quantities of tomatoes, water, spices, onion, celery, and carrots.
