Ingredients

  • 1 (24 oz) pckg frozen shredded hash browns-thawed
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 (8 oz) sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups corn flakes (crushed)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted

Preparation

Step 1

Combine potatoes, 1/2 cup butter, onion, soup, sour cream and cheese. Spoon into a greased 2.5 qt casserole dish. Bake, uncovered @ 350 for 25 minutes. Meanwhile, crush cereal and stir in remaining melted 1/4 cup butter. Sprinkle over potatoes after 25 minutes and bake for another 25 minutes.
