Amish Friendship Bread
By mhatkinson
Do not use a metal spoon or bowl for mixing. Do not refrigerate. If air gets in the bag, let it out. It is normal for batter to thicken, bubble and ferment.

Preparation
Step 1
Day 1: Receive the starter and do nothing. Or if you're creating your own, mix 1 cup milk, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup flour in a sealable plastic bag.
Days 2, 3, 4 and 5: Squeeze the bag each day.
Day 6: Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk.
Days 7, 8 and 9: Squeeze the bag each day.
Day 10: In a large bowl, combine the batter and add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Mix with wooden spoon or spatula. Pour four 1-cup starters into separate sealable bags. Keep one bag for yourself and give the three others to friends (starter can be frozen). To the remaining batter in the bowl add the oil, sugar, vanilla, eggs, baking powder, salt, flour, milk, baking soda, instant pudding mix, cinnamon and any of the optional ingredients you choose. Pour into 2 large loaf pans that have been well-greased and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. You can sprinkle extra cinnamon and sugar on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
