SESAME CHICKEN

Ingredients
- 4-6 boneless/skinless chicken breast or thighs
- 1 T grated ginger
- 1 T fresh crushed garlic
- 3 T sesame oil
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1/2 c soy sauce
- 2 T honey
- 1/2 c honey
- 1/4 c rice vinegar
- oil for frying
- 1 T toasted sesame seeds
- 1 c flour
- 1/2 c cornstarch
- 2 tsp. granulated garlic powder
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 c water
- 1/2 c sugar

Step 1
. Make a marinade with the fresh ginger, garlic, 2T sesame oil, 2T soy sauce, 1/4c rice vinegar, 2T honey, and cut chicken into medium size chunks, marinate chicken for 4 hours
. Combine flour and cornstarch, seasoned with salt, pepper, ground ginger, granulated garlic
. Make a sauce using the 1/c sugar, water, 1/2c honey, toasted sesame seeds, 1T sesame oil, 1/2c soy, by combining all theses ingredients in a sauce pan and cooking over medium heat until the sugars melt and the mixture reduces by a third.
. Strain out marinade from chicken and discard, dredge chicken in the seasoned flour mix and fry until golden brown, discard used oil.
. Place the chicken back in pan and pour the sauce over it and let it simmer for 10 minutes over low heat. Serve with rice
