Green Rice

Ingredients
- 1 cup minute rice
- 2 packages frozen chopped brocoli
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 stick margarine or butter
- 1 can cream chicken soup or mushroom soup. I liked mushroom soup better.
- 1 small can mushroom pieces and stems, drained.
- 1 (8-ounce) jar cheese whiz (original)

Preparation
Step 1
Cook rice and broccoli separatelly, according to package directions.
Drain broccoli and combine with rice.
In skillet, saute the butter, onions, and celery until tender. Add the soup, mushrooms and cheese.
Combine rice and cheese mixture.
Turn into a buttered baking dish and bake 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
This may be made a day ahead and baked before serving. It can also be frozen and baked later.
