Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 5 Tbs. cold butter, cut up
- 2 Tbs. cold shorteninga, cut up
- 2 Tbs. cold water, more if needed

Preparation
Step 1
Sift the flour, sugar and salt in a bowl. Cut in the butter and shortening until the mixture is crumbly. Add just enough cold water until the pastry can be gathered into a ball. Knead gently once or twice, then gather into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and chill at least 1 hr. Makes one 9 or 10 in. cruest
