Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 lbs lean ground beef (= 4 loaves)
  • 3/4 cup Italian tomato sauce or pizza sauce
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese, optional

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 4 - 6 loaves.
Place in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Spoon tomato or pizza sauce over loaves.
Bake 15 minutes longer or until meat is no longer pink and a meat thermometer reads 160°. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve with pasta if desired.
