Ingredients
- CAKE:
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teas Baking Powder
- 1 cup Flour
- 1/8 teas Salt
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1/2 cup Milk
- FROSTING:
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Half & Half or Milk
- 1 cup Coconut

Step 1
CAKE:
Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored. Beat in sugar slowly. Fold in sifted dry ingredients all at once. Put butter and milk in sauce pan and bring to simmer. Pour over egg mixture and mix well. Turn into greased 7 inch square cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
FROSTING:
Bring sugar and butter to simmer. Add coconut. Spread on baked cake and return to oven long enough to brown topping. Add nuts if desired.
