Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds of ground beef
  • salt, pepper anmd garl;ic powder
  • 1 large onion, sliced and halted
  • 2 T flour
  • 1 package brown gravy
  • 1 1/3 cups cold water

Preparation

Step 1

Heat large skillet over medium high heat. Cut ground beef into large chunks and season liberally on all sides with seasonings. Add seasoned meat to hot skillet and let sear for several minutes before turning. Add onions around skillet and season with salt and pepper
Once the meat has seared on all side don't mess with it too much as it will crumble.
Tilt the pan slightly and push the ingredients to one side. Wis==hisk flour into pan drippings and cook for 1 /2 minutes. Set skillet back down flat and reduce heat to low.
Add brown gravy packet to a small bowl and then whisk in water. Slowly pour gravy muxture into skillet and stir to incorporate. Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes or until meat is cooked thru. Serve over rice or m,asked potatoes.
