Ingredients
- 2 pounds round steak (1" pieces)
- 6 cups water
- 2 cups tomato juice
- 1/3 cup coarsley chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup diced potatoes
- 1 cup chopped cabbage
- 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 can green beans, drained

Preparation
Step 1
Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces. Brown in vegetable oil. Transfer the meat to a dutch oven and add water, tomato juice, onion and seasonings. Cover and simmer at least 2 hours. Add vegetables, cover; simmer another 2 hours. Remove bay leaves and serve.
