Ingredients
- 3, 8 oz containers of fresh mushrooms chopped
- 1/2 chopped large onion
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 9 Tbsp flour (put 3 of these in separate container)
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 3 cups of half and half
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper

Step 1
In a dutch oven, saute onions, garlic and mushrooms in butter. Cover your pot and simmer until mushrooms are cooked until tender and soft. Add 6 Tbsps of flour and mix thoroughly then add chicken broth slowly stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Stir until completely mixed and thickened slightly. Put additional 3 Tbsps of flour into half and half and whisk until smooth. Gradually add to pot and stir constantly until slightly thickened. Serve.
This is absolutely delicious and perfect for those cold winter evenings.
