Preparation
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 12-inch cast iron skillet with butter or canola oil. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, eggs, and oil. Mix until just combined. Fold in the 2/3 cup of M&M's® Red Velvet candies. Press the dough into the prepared skillet.
Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
Allow to cool completely.
Once cooled, prepare the chocolate cream cheese frosting. Place the unwrapped DOVE® Promises in a microwave safe bowl. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals, mixing between each one until smooth. (This should take 1- 1 1/2 minutes.)
In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in the melted chocolate. Then the powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Spoon the frosting into a pastry bag with a frosting tip. Decorate your cooled red velvet skillet cookie with the frosting. Garnish with additional M&M's® Red Velvet candies and DOVE® Promises, if desired.
Cut with a pizza cutter and serve.
Enjoy!
