Ingredients
- Barbecue sauce:
- 2 Tbl olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1.25 C hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1/4 C low sodium soy sauce
- 1 C Amber Lager
- For chicken:
- 2 Tbl canola oil
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1.5 C Amber Lager
- 1/2 C chicken broth

Step 1
Barbecue Sauce:
Heat olive oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add garlic, then remaining sauce ingredients, stir to combine. Cook 10-15 minutes or until thickened and reduced. remove from heat.
Chicken:
Heat canola oil in large Dutch oven over high heat. Sprinkle both sides of chicken with salt, then place in dutch oven, cooking each side until browned, about 2 minutes per side.
Pour in beer and broth. Cover and reduce heat to medium and cook for 15-20 minutes.
Remove chicken and allow to cool. Using two forks, shred chicken, then add barbecue sauce, tossing well to coat chicken.
