Ingredients
- 3 T olive oil
- 1 large onion, minced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 t tumeric
- 1/2 t ginger
- 1/2 t cumin
- salt and pepper
- juice of one lemon (3-4 T)
- lemon zest from one lemon
- 6 C turkey or chicken stock
- 1/2-1 C barley - more will be thicker
- 2 C chopped turkey/chicken
- 1/4 C chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 chopped fresh cilantro

Assemble all ingredients in saucepan and cook for 2 hours or until barley is soft.
