Ingredients
- 2 oranges, zested and peeled
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoons brewed coffee (or postum)
- 3 tablespoons pistachio nuts, chopped

Preparation
Step 1
Zest one orange before peeling it. Set aside zest. Peel remaining orange.
Partially break apart or section oranges, but leave one end in tact (like a bloom).
Place sugar and water in saucepan. Stir. Place saucepan over medium heat and continue stirring until sugar begins to dissolve. Bring to a low boil and when syrup begins to turn golden brown, remove from heat.
Add coffee to syrup and stir to incorporate. Next add orange zest and stir again.
Finally, add oranges to saucepan. Return saucepan to heat source and let simmer for about 20 minutes. Turn oranges occasionally during cooking process.
Remove from heat. Let come to room temperature and then place in refrigerator to chill for about 30-45 minutes.
To serve, place each orange on a plate, spoon on some of sauce and garnish with chopped nuts.
