Homemade Granola

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 6 T unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt (or less)
- 1 T vanilla extract
- 4 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 1/3 cup wheat germ (if you can't find, can leave out)
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds

Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line two cookie sheets with aluminum foil. (coat with baking spray)
Mix ingredients together, adding the oats LAST. Spread evenly on cookie sheets. Cook for 20 minutes stirring once at 10 minutes.
Add almonds and cook for 10 more minutes.
(Note that they will dry more after you let them cool, so they may seem just a little soft or damp after time is up. I actually only cooked mine for 8 more minutes to be sure and they were awesome)
You're supposed to let it cool for 15 minutes then store in an airtight container. Remove from foil within a couple minutes so granola doesn't stick.
