Ingredients
- 1 C butter
- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 1 t vanilla
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 3 1/2 C flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/2 t cream of tartar
- 1/2 t salt

Preparation
Step 1
Mix butter, sugar & vanilla; then add eggs.
Beat until light & fluffy.
Mix dry ingredients, then add to the rest of the mixture gradually.
Separate dough in half, wrap & refrigerate 1 hour.
Roll dough 1/8" thick.
Cut into shapes as desired.
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375* for 6-8 mins.
