Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons yeast
- 8 cups flour, divided
- 2 eggs
- 8 tablespoons sugar
- 6 tablespoons cooking oil
- 3 cups water, lukewarm
- 1 teaspoon salt
- FILLING
- 2 pounds pepperoni, ham, salami, whatever meat you like, chopped
- 1 onion, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, basil, oregano and italian seasoning
- 1 750ml jar spaghetti sauce, thick and spicy type
- 1 pound mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 cup mushroom pieces, optional

Preparation
Step 1
Mix yeast and 4 cups flour. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, sugar, oil and water. Add to yeast and flour mixture and beat until smooth. Add salt and remaining flour (hold back about 1/2 cup for rolling dough). Cover and let rise for 15 minutes. Punch down and let rise again for 15 minutes, then proceed as follows.
To make pizza buns roll out dough 1/4 inch thick and cut into 3 1/2" rounds. Place filling on bottom, stretch tops slightly and pinch down edges well, leaving a little room for spreading, (they may end up about 5 inches in diameter).
Let rise. Bake in 375F oven for 20 minutes.
FILLING: Brown meat and onions in frying pan. Drain well. Add remaining ingredients. Refrigerate until ready to fill dough.
