Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup butter
- 1/4 c cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 c buttermilk
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla

Step 1
Combine flour and sugar into a large bowl. Combine butter, cocoa and water in saucepan. Cook to a boil. Pour over sugar and flour and mix thoroughtly. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla and mix well. Pour into a greased jelly roll pan 15 x 10 x 1. Bake at 400' for 20 minutes.
Last 5 minutes before cake is done start frosting.
Icing - 1/2 c butter, 6 Tablespoons Milk. in saucepan until boils. Add 1/4 cup cocoa, 1 tsp vanilla and enough confectionsugar to make a pourable thick icing. Pour over warm out of the oven cake and let cool completely before cutting.
