Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup strong coffee
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tbsp cocoa
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla

Step 1
Combine flour and sugar in saucepan. Combine butter, shortening, coffee, and cocoa. Stir and heat to boiling. Pour boiling mixture over the flour and sugar. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, and vanilla; mix well. Pour onto a weel buttered 17X11 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until brownines test done in the center. While brownies bake, prepaire the frosting. Heat to boiling, stirring well. Mix in sugar and vanilla until frosting is smooth. Pour warm frostingover brownies as soon as you take them out of the oven. Cool and cut.
