POPCORN - Bacon Spiced Popcorn Soup Topper

- 4 slices Bacon (chopped)
- 1/4 cup Popcorn Kernels
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Place chopped bacon in medium sauce pot and cook on medium low, stirring until bacon is crisp. Remove bacon from pot with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Add popcorn kernels to the pot with the bacon fat and cover with lid. Allow the popcorn to pop until you no longer hear kernels popping. Remove from heat and pour into a large mixing bowl.
Combine chili powder, salt and pepper and sprinkle over popcorn. Toss with crispy bacon.
Serve on top of soup. Butternut squash soup was recommended, but I bet this would work well with any creamy vegetable soup - potato, broccoli, zucchini, etc.
