Shortbread Cookies

This cookie is a treat without a buttercream frosting...but if you must go for it!

Ingredients

• 2/3 cup butter flavored shortening
• 1 1/4 cup sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 tbsp. milk
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 3 cups flour
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Blend together shortening, sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla until well blended. Gradually add flour, baking powder and salt; mix until smooth. Roll out onto a floured surface and cut into desired shape. Transfer to aluminum foil-lined baking sheet; sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool completely
