Molasses Cookies with a Kick

Ingredients
- 3/4 C butter, softened
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/2 C packed brown sugar
- 1/4 C molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp minced fresh gingeroot
- 2 1/4 C flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp each ground white pepper , cardamon and coriander
- 3/4 C turbunado sugar.

Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the molasses, egg and giner. Combine the flour, cinnamon baking soda cloves cayenne, salt nutmeg, white pepper, cardamon and coriander; gradually add to creamed mixutre and mix well. Cover and refrig for 1 1/2 hrs or until easy to handle.
Roll into 1/2 in balls; roll in turbinado sugar. Place 3 in apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 8-10 mins or until set. Cool for 2 mins befire removing from pans to wire racks. Store in an airtight container.
