- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs one at a time. Add sour cream. Add dry ingredients. Add vanilla.
Form ball of dough. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate overnight. Roll out a little at a time. Cut into shapes, keeping rest of dough in fridge. Cookies can be 1/8 to 1/4 inches thick.
Bake 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
