Preparation
Step 1
2 large eggs, slightly whisked
Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8x9" baking dish.
In a standing mixer, combine the butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs until smooth and creamy. In a separate bowl combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Whisk well. Alternating between the dry ingredients and banana, add a little of each to the butter mixture, mix a little and then add a little banana, and back and forth until you've used everything up.
Allow to cool a little while you make the frosting.
In a bowl using a hand held mixer, combine the cream cheese, butter, heavy cream, cocoa and powdered sugar. Pour over the slightly warm cake and gently frost the top. Serve warm or room temperature.
Oh I am so with you, time is flying by way too quickly!! I too long for the days before cell phones. I know they make life so convenient, but man – I love the days when everyone wasn’t always on their phone! Oh well, I guess such is life. P.s. those brownies look to die for!
This cake looks AMAZINGG-I totally thought they were brownies at first because they looks so moist and chocolatey–they fact that it’s a cake makes it even better! especially with that chocolate cream cheese frosting, mmmm
