Ingredients

  • 16 cups large flake oatmeal
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ground flax seed
  • 3/4 sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup chopped almonds (or your favourite nut)
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup creamed honey
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract

Preparation

Step 1

In microwave safe dish, add oil honey and almond extract. Cook for a minute until honey is melted

Mix up all the dry ingredients, pour half of the wet mixture over the dry. Stir. Pour the remaining wet mixture over the dry. Stir

Put mixture in large roasting pan and bake for 2 hours @ 250*
Stir every 20 minutes.

After 2 hours let cool and add any dry fruit if you like.

You can substitute rolled oats for the large flake.subsistute
