Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 3/4 cup whole rolled oats

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preaheat oven to 325.
2. Combine applesauce, egg, peanut butter, and water in a large bowl.
3. Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to applesauce mix. Mix well, then knead dough on a lightly floured surface until thoroughly mixed.
4. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness, and cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
5. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 50 minutes. Turn oven off and leave biscuits in oven for 20 minutesto harden. Transfer to rack and cool completely.
6. When biscuits have cooled you can sprea cream cheeseon a cookie and top with another cookie if you desire. Store these in a sealed container in refrigerator.
