Ingredients

  • 8 slices whole grain bread, no sugar added
  • 3 cups milk (any kind of milk will work. I used almond milk)
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup honey (You can also use 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce and enough stevia to sweeten it to your liking.)
  • 3 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons raisins (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Cut up your bread into small pieces.
Mix all ingredients well in the slow cooker.
Cook on high for 4-5 hours. The liquid should be completely soaked up by the bread when it's done.
