Whole Wheat Beer Bread

- 2 1/2 cups AP flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat Flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 12 oz beer (or any carbonated beverage)
- 1 stick butter, melted

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375. In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients thoroughly. Pour in the beer. Blend the mixture together, using a wooden spoon. The batter will be lumpy. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan. Pour 1/3 of the butter over the dough. Bake for 40 minutes, then pour another 1/3 of the butter over the top of the bread. Contiue baking for 10 minutes more. Pour the remaining 1/3 butter on the bread and bake 10 minutes longer. Remove the bread from the oven. Allow it to coll for 30-45 minutes and serve warm.
