Ingredients
- 2 c. whole milk
- 1 c. cream
- 1/2 c. sugar, plus 1/4 c.
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. Nutella

Step 1
Cook milk, cream, and 1/2 c. sugar until sugar dissolves--around 5 minutes. Meanwhile, whip egg yolks with remaining sugar for 4 minutes.
Pour 1/2 c. warm milk mixture into egg mixture. Pour this into saucepan again and cook over very low heat, stirring constantly until mixture coats the back of the spoon--7-10 minutes.
Strain into medium bowl. Add vanilla and Nutella. Chill thoroughly before putting in ice cream maker to complete.
