Ingredients
- 4 medium red onions, sliced thinly
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 tablespoons jarred jalapeno pepper juice
- Fresh ground black pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
In a large non metallic mixing or serving bowl, toss together sliced onions with olive oil, maple syrup, salt, the liquid from the jalapeno peppers and fresh ground black pepper. Coat onions well with liquid.
Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.
