Ingredients

  • 6 small premade pizza shells
  • 2 pounds small fresh whole tomatoes, sliced
  • 6 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 12 ounces low fat mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 ripe California avocado, peeled, seeded and sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Place your pizza shells on a baking or cookie sheet. You may need more than one baking sheet for all your pizza shells. Top the each pizza shell with one teaspoon of tomato paste. Spread the tomato sauce around with a spoon. Now, sprinkle basil, bell pepper and mushrooms on top of the tomato paste. Next top with cheese. Have your adult helper assist you while you put the baking sheet in the oven. Bake pizzas for 20 minutes. Once you remove the pizzas from the oven, top with avocado slices. For fun you can arrange the avocados, tomatoes and mushrooms on the pizza to make a clown face.
