Grandma Marilyn’s Mayonnaise Cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup walnuts
• 1 cup raisins
• 1 cup boiling water
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 3/4 cup mayonnaise
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 3 tablespoons chocolate powder
• 2 cups sifted flour
• pinch of salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the walnuts, raisins, boiling water, and baking soda well and let stand in separate bowl.

Mix remaining ingredients well with the above mixed ingredients

Pour into greased 8”x8” pan and bake at 350* for 45 minutes or until toothpick “comes out clean”
